Easthampton's First Fire Chaplin

EASTHAMPTON – Father Piotr Pawlus has been parochial vicar at Our
Lady of the Valley Parish for only a year and a half, but he has
already made history as the first chaplain of the Easthampton Fire
Department.
In a brief ceremony held inside the fire station garage this
morning, Father Pawlus received his badge and became the first
chaplain since the department was founded 150 years ago. Fire
Chief David Mottor began the ceremony, noting the historical
significance of the appointment and the importance role of the
chaplain as firefighters and emergency responders perform their duties
in the community...
